OSU’s sensor research program involves a collection
of more than 40+ researchers who collaborate with other
universities and industry to identify needs for future sensor
research and technologies and transfers them to the marketplace.
The major focus areas of this research are biomedical sensors,
optical sensors, radiation sensors, bacterial sensors, environmental
sensors and sensors for homeland security and defense applications.
A new National Sensor Testing Center will enable the rapid
transfer of innovative technologies from the laboratory
to the end user.
