Bioresearch Major Initiative
OSU is nationally known for research in numerous biotechnology disciplines, including agriculture, animal science, veterinary medicine, biosystems and agricultural engineering, plant and soil sciences and sensors. Researchers have made invaluable contributions to technology innovation, economic development and homeland security. The university is committed to the formation of a research corridor and a bioscience cluster in central Oklahoma and supports ongoing collaborations with industries, national laboratories, medical facilities and other university research groups. State and federal funds support new initiatives and biosafety research facilities that lead to innovation, economic development and national security.
