OSU as a Comprehensive Research University

As a comprehensive research university, Oklahoma State pursues and celebrates research excellence in all academic disciplines. OSU faculty and students conduct world-class research spanning the physical, natural, and social sciences, as well as engineering, business, humanities, and the arts.

The following OSU research projects, described in “Orange Papers”, represent the university’s broad fields of study. Federal Priorities are OSU research initiatives where additional funding support from national research agencies and elected representatives could expand work that impacts not only Oklahoma, but the nation and the world.

These projects include energy technology, health care, STEM education, food safety and security, water stewardship, educator training, technologies for independent living, and others. Many of these projects fall under OSU’s identified interdisciplinary research strengths: The Food/Energy/Water Nexus; OneHealth; and Unmanned Systems.
