Tech Park enhancements continueTECH PARK ENHANCEMENTS CONTINUE Members of the Oklahoma Technology and Research Park Joint Board reviewed plans on March 26 that will make the Stillwater development's public features more readily accessible. A parking lot will be constructed adjacent to the existing walking trail, with an entrance from Sangre Road . The all-weather lot will provide ten spaces, including a handicapped space, for those using the trail. Completion of construction is anticipated to be by mid-May, weather permitting. The 1.1-mile walking trail has already become popular with area residents, having been completed in the fall of 2006. The addition of a parking lot will allow for off-street parking and complements a handicapped space that has already been developed along Innovation Way in the Tech Park . Along with the planned installation of park benches and trash receptacles, projects associated with the trail have been funded, in part, by a National Recreational Trails grant administered by the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department. OTRP is a joint initiative of the City of Stillwater , Meridian Technology Center and Oklahoma State University , providing multi-tenant lab and office facilities for technology-based businesses and research groups.
